Wk 15 1/2 The 1st annual "shove a stick up your nose" bowl (now with refreshed?!? rosters)

It is WEEK 15.  We won ugly.  The "Just Win" Brigade lost in ugly fashion.  

But we won.  We've been blown out a couple of times this year, and despite our concerns about this guy

he has actually got his group playing pretty decent football....you might even say pointing in the right direction.

Our D-Line has been very decent at times.  Our LB's?  Just JOK is A-OK, and I'm sure that'll be addressed.   

It isn't like we can be 

and fix ALL of our problems in one off-season.

As much as I'm ashamed to admit it, I was born in the same hospital a couple months before him.  A rather precipitious downfall on his part.  I'm slightly embarassed to share the same home town.  He couldn't hold my placenta.  (Full disclosure:  I think that back in the 1960s they just incinerated them.)  

Yesterday, his former club decided to disrespect their opponents.  

 

...and their opponents took them behind the proverbial woodshed and spanked them.

(Wondering if the move to Las Vegas has them enjoying the spanking a bit more than they should....)

This isn't a whole lot different from this situation

 

but now he is "OUR" guy* (which sort of makes it OK now.)

The Raiders are coming in after getting drubbed by a quality team.  Short week, on the road for a 2nd week in a row.  

We may very well get our TE corps back for this week as well.  

*actual results may vary

The defense is playing rather inspired football despite missing 40% of the secondary.

Can the offense start to hum yet?  

Is our WR room one of the weakest in the NFL?  I think so.  

The Raiders have some weapons, but this is a team that we MUST defeat.  Our next two are on the road, against the greatest insurance salesman in football, and our kryptonite (not so much lately, but we did lose to him a few weeks ago).  

If this club wants to play mid-late January football, this game is an absolute must win.

ADDENDUM:  This game has been moved to 5:00 on Monday December. 

 

It gives us time to break out our new Monday night alternative unis.  They are pretty special, but I don't think they breathe very well.  (I hope we do, though).

We need to beat Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and either the Raiders at home this weekend or the Packers, on the road, on Christmas...so yeah we really need to win this one.

Raiders are struggling and this is a game we should and obviously need to win. But it's not like we've played good football lately either, so I can see this going either way.

Really need the run blocking to get going again because we're going to need Chubb to go off.

I can’t wait for a fun holiday season.

Browns kick-off at 4:30 on Saturday. My wife’s family’s Christmas party tees off at 4 o’clock that day. They don’t care about the Browns or football. 

Following Saturday: Christmas. Browns kick off at 4:30. 

Holiday games are just the worst idea in sports.

Also agree that we don't need a game on christmas, maybe Rodgers will feel that he needs the day off though.
