On the season our pass defense has been much better than our run defense. When we played the first time Herbert had 222 yards, they killed us on the ground.

They were also up 21-0 early and leaned on the run early too. When game got tight (21-14 and we got stopped)Herbert was able to pass again

That was the third fewest yards that Herbert has thrown for all season. We've only given up 300+ passing yards in 3 games all season, vs the Chiefs, Cowboys, and Broncos (most of which came in garbage time). We held Joe Burrow and their elite passing attack to 129 yards. And over our last 5 games we've allowed 170 passing yards per game and 6 TD.

My point was just, there first drive Herbert threw for 50 yards and a TD,
Their 2nd TD drive Herbert threw for 55 yards and a TD
and their 3rd TD drive was another 50 yards and TD from herbert

That was all in the first half for it to be 21-0. 150 yards and 3 TDs in a half, is throwing pretty well IMO, and im sure it was a little over 150 too.

They came out run heavy in the third and killed a lot of time doing so. (its why teams run when they are up)

To say we stopped their passing game in game 1 is a mistake imo.

Yep, that's where stats can be misleading.  They did their damage early in that game and didn't have to keep going.  In other games with other teams, they didn't really have to pass against us because they could run at will.

Context always matters.

He’s only in on run plays it’s getting predictable

All we've heard for the past few months is how our lack of a field stretching WR has hurt Carr and the rest of the offense. But we have a WR on our team that has flashed big play ability and he has only played 25 snaps. When he played for the Chargers last season he had 4 catches for 111 yards and a TD in their two games against us. People have said it's because he doesn't know the playbook but DJaxx didn't know it either and was already getting offensive snaps after like 2 practices.

What was the point in bringing him in if we weren't going to give him a few looks? Like I understand that he's not going to be an expert on the playbook but Rich/Olly can't find a way to just get him familiar with a couple different packages and take some deep shots with him?

Justin Herbert has been less effective against the blitz all season, including in his Week 4 win over the Raiders. Good news for L.A. in this weekend's win-and-in matchup: The Raiders have blitzed at the lowest rate in the League (15.2%). Against the Raiders' blitz in that early-October game, Herbert was 3 of 10 for 23 yards and had a 39.6 passer rating. However, when Vegas didn't blitz, he was 22 of 28 for 199 yards, three TDs and a 132 passer rating. For the season when facing the blitz, Herbert has a lower completion percentage (69.8 vs. 59.6) and passer rating (102.2 vs. 91.3).
