lol I don’t believe that was offered nor do I believe either offer would have been turned down.

100% media is using this whole thing as free time to troll for clicks with made up BS. Either that or the Texans using the rumor mill to try and generate heavier offers.

Albright already weighed in that we aren't as interested as the national media is reporting. I'd put more weight on that than a dozen of these talking heads trying to create conversation with random stuff that can never be corroborated.

he gone gone

He may not be, he had a good season yes, but teams still wont invest long term because of his injury history and also because the number he is probably asking for would suggest he is a premier pass rusher which he isnt. We could very well have the best offer out there. I also could see us moving on to another guy

This is why I hate FA.

It’s almost always paying top of the market prices for good, sometimes, great, but rarely elite players.

I get it, it’s a tool, use it like any other, but holy hell man.  45 million for Larry O??

Certainly not a sustainable way of building a roster

for the most part we’ve done bargain bin  deals outside of JJ3/Conklin/Hooper

tying large amounts of cap space to guys like Kirk or Larry O is crazy

Absolutely not.

I’d argue JJIII was a decent price tbh.

Conklin’s number is fair, he just can’t stay healthy.

Hooper was a huge goof.

Yeah, I just don’t see guys like that moving the needle at all.

Like, is Larry better than Hicks?  Idk man lol.  I doubt it.

With the cap set to explode in two years, i'm not surprised these deals are that large. If the cap weren't going to rise dramatically, these deals would seem even worse.

People say this all the time, and while it has some truth, signing middling players to expensive contracts is always bad business.  It never looks good in hindsight.

We made an offer. That’s a lot more than people thought we’d do.

did we?  Or did some dude just say we did on Twitter?  That looked like the fakest of fake news of the day tbh.
