Denver was desperate and they got the bridesmaid, not the bride.

Washington is desperate at QB.

As is Carolina.

As is Pittsburgh.

As well as Seattle.

To a lesser extent, Saints.

Possible QB's out there.  JImmy G. and Watson?  Am I forgetting anyone?

Maybe Love could fetch a second.  I'd do that deal.  Easily.

Winston as well. Outside of that you could roll the dice on a Bridgewater or a Mariota...but you're basically hoping for .500 at best with either of them.

This would be classic if he played one more year and walked away as a FA or retires and the Packers get nothing from it.

I would be the first person in line to catapult Gute/Ball/Murphy/MLF into the lake if this happens.

Yah I'll just say this.  All those picks are fine nice pieces to rebuild with but a franchise QB trumps all.  It will be interesting to follow Seattle and how long it takes them to return to relevance.

Just wait until Metcalf bails after next season without a QB.

They wouldn't have tagged Davante then. They can't do anything without re-doing that deal.

Rodgers extension

converts base in 2022 into signing bonus that is spread over 5 years (2022-2026).   2023-2026 are all void years.

2022 base goes from $26.4M to $1.4M and the remaining $25M is spread $5M per year across the 5 years

new cap hit in 2022 is $26.6M which is...................

wait for hit

$20M less than currently......  Just enough for an Adams franchise tag

It would work, but to add void years they'd need to agree to a new deal. I'm just saying his deal cannot remain untouched and he just comes back and plays on it next year.

Gute really chose good PR over a chance to retool this team for a decade to come lol.

I think he just chose to maximize the window with Rodgers.

Re-tool and you're more likely to be Denver or Philadelphia for 8 seasons than to be KC.
