What I would suggest that this means is that Brady and Cousins are really the best "bang for the bucks" QBs.  While yes, Brady is off this year, he's still performing better than most of these expensive QBs.

I would pay the extra cost to get the additional bang of a Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes if that was an available option. To me, they are clearly the best bang for the buck.

While I doubt the Bills or Chiefs would rather save the $10M and downgrade to Cousins, sadly, neither Josh Allen nor Patrick Mahomes is an option for the Vikings at this point.

I am happy with what Cousins is doing in the offense. He is performing well and by all accounts a great teammate and great guy.

I really think Cousins is likely to play well, cutting down dumb throws while still taking chances downfield, the rest of the season.  That being said, the Vikings will have some decisions to make, possibly by this coming off season, as to whether to extend him again, offer a completely new contract, or let him play out his contract.  I think Cousins has most of the leverage, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him choose free agency and another mega-contract.

So, does the front office draft a QB early and let him sit for a year?  Another possibility is a young QB already on an NFL roster.

I am intrigued by New England's situation. I need to see more of both Jones and Zappe, but both have shown potential as well as some poor play.  I believe that either of them would receive better, coaching with better weapons then the Patriots.

After last night, I would like to switch my position about NE QB's.  I am no longer intrigued. Sheesh!!!

But, I bet you're now intrigued about Heinicke.  🤣  But, he's not that young anymore since he turns 30 in March.

I always thought that the Vikings should have found away to keep Heinicke.  He isn't the most gifted QB, but it appears that he is a very good field general.  The  Commanders would be foolish to let him get away.  He is a better leader than Wentz will ever be.  What would it be like if Heinicke, possessing all the intangibles you could want, had Rodgers arm?  That would be a dangerous QB!
