It's $5M per team per year, they make that on ******* SODA sales. It's a joke. And yeah like, there's a reason European football has a vastly more efficient talent pipeline, because the guys at the lower developmental levels are ALLOWED TO DEVELOP and grow, not just the bonus babies, because they have set up systems that allow them to do so. Baseball is far and away the most profitable in net profits of the 4 majors and they continue to penny pinch and gut everything about the sports lower levels and local interest development (why did they cut 40 minor league teams that would have fostered major interest in the sport in those towns?!?!) because they want to scratch as much blood from the stone as possible. Because $4.5B isn't enough, they need to be worth $6B. That will definitely make a material difference in the owners life.
