Compton Gameplan by whicker:

Offense:

We're going to run a balanced offense with an emphasis on safe, short throws for Case Keenum. Marshawn Lynch will get the start and the majority of inside carries. Tarik Cohen will be heavily involved in the passing game. We will use a 2 TE set to help blocking on Cohen's outside runs as well as create easy mismatches over the middle for Keenum. Of course, both of our starting receivers will get plenty of targets. Josh Doctson will also rotate into the game often. When he does, we will try to give all of our receivers snaps out of the slop to further try to create mismatches.

Defense:

Similar to last week, we think we match up well against the opposing offense. Marshon Lattimore will cover Demariyus Thomas and Casey Hayward will take Jarvis Landry. Devin McCourty will mainly be in a Cover-1. Karl Joseph will line up in the box to help against the run and man up against Vernon Davis. Our linebackers will take Luke Wilson and Doug Martin.

Gotham Gameplan:

OFFENSE - 2 WR/2 TE/RB

Facing Compton, we come out in our 2WR/2TE/1RB set and will look to control the ball and take shots periodically.  We will use both Martin and Henry to soften up the D Line and use play action to hit bigger plays downfield.  Wentz is matchup proof at this point with his recent showings, he’s playing at an elite level and should be able to put points up against anyon, including Compton’s excellent D.

DEFENSE - Cover 2 43 Heavy Nickel

Although Compton has a formidable D, we think the offense will have less effectiveness against our defense.  We will play a 43 Heavy nickel to combat their 2 Wide 2 TE offense featuring 3 safeties.  Norman and Rhodes will play sides, playing Brown and Diggs physically at the line.  With 3 safeties on the field, we will rotate cover 2 duties and man coverage assignments.  We expect this to result in some epic hits on intermediate and deep throws down the middle.

Given how Keenum and Diggs victimized Josh Norman this week, I don't understand everyone saying "I don't see Keenum throwing on that secondary". Especially with those receivers. I think it's a high scoring game but I like Compton offense better, despite Carson Wentz QBing Gotham. 30-24 Compton
