If Harry is still part of the plan then an IR stint will be in order. Is Tate a better option to fill that role than Tajae Sharpe? Ehhhh.

The thing that stands out to me is Sharpe couldn't stick around on a TEN team that needed receivers. Tate was buried on CIN's depth chart right from the beginning.

2018: AJ Green, Tyler Boyd, John Ross, (Tyler Eifert)

2019 was the same as 2018, but also with an emerging CJ Uzomah

2020 brings in Tee Higgins

2021 obviously adds Jamarr Chase

AJG and Ross obviously depart in there but the fact is that the Bengals invest a lot of premium capital in the WR position year after year:

Green- 1st Boyd- 2nd Ross-1st Higgins- 2nd Chase- 1st

And those first rounders are all top ten selections. When you look at all of this, it's not that surprising that Tate couldn't earn a starting role. He could still very well turn out to be something, in fact, there's an argument to be made that his odds of turning into something are probably better than Harry's or Sharpe's at this point.

Tate also couldn’t make it past the 80-man roster cut with a 2022 Atlanta team whose current WR3+ are as follows:

Olamide Zaccheaus

Damiere Byrd

KeeSean Johnson

Frank Darby

Stanley Berryhill

Jared Bernhardt

Cameron Batson

But that's an impressive list...

Wait...nevermind.

Personally I think that one is a push…I think better than both will come lose later in the process.

Interesting that when you try and look at Darius Slayton's profile page on the Giants website you get an error message hahaha...

If there is a receiver who age wise as well as talent makes a lot of sense for us it is him...issue is what the compensation would be because he is out of contract after this season...we won't want a 1 year rental...if we did then we should just go get Manny Sanders who would bring in a real vet presence.

Slayton could stick around, their rookie Collin Johnson tore his Achilles today.

This looks like a list made from a random name generator.

thats part of it, but once again, there is way more than just on field performance that goes into signing a player, most fans just dont want to hear it.

When the league blackballs a player because of his strong player safety advocacy, you can't really fault the fans who raise an eyebrow.

Blackballed means it was a coordinated effort, and gets thrown around way too flippantly by fans.

Its not hard to see why the guy who would be extremely critical of a coach and the practices they are trying to run wouldnt be a welcomed addition. Just like its not hard to see why a team wouldnt be interested in a above average at best, while more likely a one trick pony QB (who couldnt beat out Blaine Gabbert) who also carries around more baggage an media attention than the rest of the team combined.

Is it right that this happens? Probably not. Is it actually illegal as you are suggesting? That is also probably a no, but more importantly is next to impossible to prove
