And if you thought Lamar Jackson was going to play in less than 75% of the games during that time period, would you still feel the same?  I think you're vastly undervaluing the availability issue.

Jackson is a great player, but his past two seasons should be warning flags. Guys with his style typically go downhill fast.   He should get decent money but no way I'm backing up the brinks truck for that style.  It's too short-lived.

Go back to his comment about HC/GM. You ain't winning **** with Jimmy G. Brady is as washed as washed can be.

You gave that up for Adams thinking you had the roster to win now. Assume the GM/Coach are still in that boat. Put another way, they don't have time to rebuilt and be around to see it. They pushed all in last year. They are going down with that philosophy.

And even with Adams the Raiders are probably in a rebuild and Rodgers has said repeatedly he wants no part of any of that.

Who thinks Geno Smith is winning a Super Bowl, ever? Seriously! This is like everybody falling in love with Nick Foles.

If you give a pedestrian QB a super team around him he can win it all.  Just ask Hostetler, Rypien, Earl Morrall and Trent Dilfer.  😉

Lamar's production also hasn't been great since his MVP season.

I think if we had Rodgers instead of Carr this year we likely would've snuck into the playoffs.

The Raiders are one step forward, two steps back.

Gruden

Ruggs

Carr

They need some organizational stability throughout the organization.

What impact has the move to LV impacted that franchise?

The teams biggest issue has been mediocre management which has resulted in assets being blown at a historic pace, we basically wasted 5 first round picks over a 3 year period.

I think the move to LV has been a positive one, it definitely makes us a more attractive free agent destination and we've seemed to get more love from the league since we moved.

Serious question CWood. Carr has a no trade clause. His deal for this year and part of next year is guaranteed like the 2nd or 3rd day of the new league year. I believe before trading commences. Why would he agree to be traded rather than choose his destiny?

I think because if he is released, he isn't sniffing the money that he is owed on his current deal.

Heard Pat Kirwan talk about that on the radio yesterday.

He's going to get 40 million guaranteed out of his last three years of the deal if they don't cut him before the deadline in his contract. I think it's his salary this year and 7.5 million in 24 would be guaranteed. A team willing to trade real assets for him would give hm that in free agency.

You don't think he's getting more than 40 million guaranteed in free agency? He's definitely a starting QB.

Put a casino in Titletown and Green Bay will have checkmated LV :)
