You're still sticking up for these stupid moves? They crippled the 2022 season by trading Davante. It made no sense to bring back Rodgers, but not Davante. Once they decided to give #12 a new deal they needed to retain Adams. Who cares if he wanted to leave .. it's business, and they could have retained him with a franchise tag for two years if need be. They missed out on a few 1sts, 2nds and players by giving Rodgers a new deal which now looks like a major overpay. Terrible work by the Packers front office.

Oh and we'll take your 2nd and a conditional pick for next year too.

Might as well throw your hands up in the air and sink a season by shipping off one of your best players .. one that the entire offense revolves around. Lets replace Adams with Hammy Watkins and some rookie wideouts .. that's going to work just great. It was a complete bust of a season and some people need to be on the hot seat over it. The Packers dropped the ball on getting him inked when they had the chance. He was a top five player on the Packers and generally you retain those guys .. especially if you are going to roll with a 38-39 year old Qb with trust issues. The Adams fail basically sunk us in 2022.

You expect Adams to commit to staying 5 years in Green Bay with Jordan Love? No chance in hell. Plus his mom lives in Vegas. This wasn't a hard decision for him. The guy's under contract with GB but he's out and about basking in the glory of more "I might be around" stuff - talking like he's a FA. When AR was taught the solar system in grade school....I think he saw himself as the center of the universe.

He would have shown up and played or inked a new deal. I think they could have figured out how to create the space to make that work. Bottom line .. made zero sense to bring back Rodgers without Adams. Cost us a season.

When was the last time they franchised a player and made him stay? They don't. They work hard on that lockerroom and chemistry. You are not going to see loose cannon disgruntled players in Green Bay, they ran the Josh Jones and Martellus Bennett types out of there. Gute had guessed wrong about Adams, he guessed wrong about Rodgers having two MVP years left in him—leading to a trade up for Love, and then he guessed wrong about Aaron’s inevitable decline, leading to a sucky bloated contract for meh QB play. And I actually think Gute is a pretty good GM. He made some bad calls. The captain of the Exxon Valdez was employee of the month three times. It’s the bad decisions we’re judged on.
