Trading Trey for a 2nd round pick with the uncertainty we have with Purdy would be stupid. He really doesn’t believe he does anything well, despite the insanely small sample size. He’s just done. I think the 49ers would need to know how long Aaron Rodgers planned on playing. Because if it's a one-and-done situation than the timeline would match up well with Brock Purdy's return. Just spitballing here. Packers Get: #33, 49ers '24 Pick(s) 49ers Get: QB Aaron Rodgers, #65 Texans Get: QB Trey Lance From Green Bay's perspective, that feels pretty light unless that future pick is the 49ers' FRP. And even then, there's probably an AFC team that can pay something similar. Possibly include conditionals picks that upgrade picks for San Francisco and Green Bay based on Trey Lance. Sometimes the stars have to align to win even one of them. But half this fanbase expects him to have multiple at this point. I'd love to see a ratio of how many total coaches of all time vs how many have won multiple superbowls.
