He crossed 5000 yards earlier in the game. Drew Brees had been the only one to do it twice. Brady, Manning, Marino, and Stafford have done it once. I think he's a QB that gets fawned over way too much given all the context, but....what? How is that not impressive? He hasn't played any more regular season games this year than the others have. Only one other QB has done it twice and only a Hall of Fame list has done it once--Brady, Manning Marino, and Stafford. OK, maybe Stafford is not HoF. Still, this is very fast company. Of course, though we don't compare 2018 to 1984 directly because the pass defense rules are different now, massively favoring the offense. Not the same. Like you can't compare 1984 stats to 1970 because the pass defense rules were different. Not the same. Which means if the 1984 stats were even a Little Bit Close to the 2018 stats, you know the 1984 guy was lighting the world on fire. And I'd still vote Mahomes MVP this season.
