Is Sanders that good?

We'll find out. He's got the arm to make all the throws needed and his accuracy was great at Jackson State. If he can translate that to success at Colorado, he'll easily be a top 5 QB in this class.

I haven't watched him play at all. If he has that many pro traits that's cool.

Obviously just highlights so you can only take so much away from them but you can see the arm strength and ball placement in the video well enough. You can also see that he's had some top tier coaching with his fundamentals and how to throw a great ball. The ball just spins out of his hand beautifully. His footwork can get a bit happy when he's facing pressure but that's an issue that a lot of young QB prospects have.

Measurements will be important for him as well. He was listed at 6’1 and 198.

Absolutely. He's not a flawless prospect by any means but he's a viable NFL QB prospect as it stands. We'll see how he does vs FBS level competition but, right now, I'm basing it off his tools and tape against lesser talent. I think I just love how beautiful the ball is that he throws. He's got stuff he's gotta work on, for certain.

I like Kedon but he's looked pretty bad the last few years.

Here are the top five QBs "by the numbers":

=== SIS On Target Percentage by Throw Depth Chart ===

Air | On Target % by Throw Depth
  Yards |
   31+ | 55.6% | 45.8% | 45.0% | 41.2% | 35.0%
21 to 30 | 53.5% | 50.0% | 62.5% | 54.5% | 72.2%
16 to 20 | 54.5% | 63.2% | 78.6% | 73.7% | 46.2%
11 to 15 | 61.8% | 72.6% | 60.8% | 70.3% | 58.8%
 6 to 10 | 61.9% | 83.1% | 74.5% | 74.7% | 69.4%
 1 to 5 | 70.8% | 82.6% | 79.5% | 78.9% | 82.3%
         | | | | |
   SIS | Anthony | Bryce | C.J. | Hendon | Will
         | Richardson | Young | Stroud | Hooker | Levis
         | | | | |
Release: | 3.18s | 3.02s | 2.92s | 2.60s | 2.58s
40 Time: | 4.43s | 4.52s | 4.74s | 4.77s | 4.72s

Richardson (who only makes sense in Carolina or Baltimore) and Young hold the ball longer, buying time with their legs.  The difference is that Young is a passer, more yardstick oriented than C.J. Stroud.  While Richardson uses his speed to find running lanes, the vertically challenged Bryce uses them to find passing lanes.  Young will do fine in Houston, with or without great blocking.

Hooker and Levis are pocket passers, both requiring adequate protection.  Hooker will appeal to a broader market because he doesn't require a certain kind of target.  Levis is like an aborted evolutionary offshoot, symbiotically reliant on two disappearing subspecies:  YAC receivers and deep threats.  It will be difficult to find a home for him, especially among low end franchises.  He shouldn't drop further than Tampa Bay at #19, though.

Stroud is the middle ground, adaptable to and adoptable by virtually any franchise with half decent pass blocking.  C.J. is not the possession QB that Young is but he is better downfield, meaning that his RBs won't see as many 8-man boxes.  This may explain why the Colts have been Jonesing for Stroud all year.

Dang. He's out there making 20-50yd hand-offs with that accuracy. Some beautiful touch.

Accuracy and the way the ball spins out of his hand won't be a question. It's one of the prettiest balls I've seen in some time. You can tell Deion's paid from some high level coaching for his son.

Whoa, wait that's his kid?

That's awesome. Did not know that.

What world you been living in, dude was productive the last two seasons and considering how much attention Deion gets I thought everyone knew that was his kid.

Shedeur played well but he did lose the two biggest games of the season the past two years, yeah was only the Celebration Bowl but both were losses, and generally speaking he went up against zero guys who will be NFL defensive backs outside of his teammate Hunter who is now his teammate on Colorado.

His real development and QB ability will be shown when he is at Colorado.  Originally he was only a FAU recruit, then when his dad was the HC hire at Jackson State he went there with him, I think he was maybe a 3 star guy, but sure has played great the last two years but had a stacked team against not stacked competition, next year will show a lot more about him.

The 2024 class is totally loaded so to pretend he is top 5 already, no way that is true.  Especially since Colorado brought in transfers but not sure any of them are some great WR, got a few guys from USF who might be good but Kevin Coleman Jr his teammate on Jackson State went to Louisville, and Hooks was decent, we will see how are his targets at Colorado.  Heck Hunter if he plays both ways might be his most dangerous WR on the team, that might be a good thing but also might not be.  Maybe that stretch TE Traore could be a good weapon, K. Smoke was just ok on UK and Wilkerson was awesome on Jackson State as a RB.
