One word: context

One was a definitive death blow on a drive-ending play late in the 4th.

The other was none of these things.

Take the 7 away from the Higgins call and the 7 away from the Wilson call, and the Rams still win. Sucks to suck, Francis.

I disagree heavily that a team should have multiple chances to kick a FG.

Could you imagine a team down by 2. Gets a first down on the 35 with like 20 seconds left getting four chances to hit the 52 yard FG for the win? That would be dumb

This. If you miss the FG, it's a change in possession. It's a good rule.

Too bad the league hosed Seattle twice this season for some reason

First time was forcing them to play a game that started at like 6 AM at their local time in Germany. Second time just now by by the NFL putting a team that Seattle needs to win after they got eliminated. Obviously the Lions will still try to play spoiler, but no one can claim that their hope of postseason play being extinguished won't damage morale. Just because the NFL just had to have a bit more bucks with putting Aaron Rodgers in primetime, again

Yeah, it was idiotic that they would have the Packers play the Lions in primetime, with the way the playoff scenarios the way they are. Packers and Lions should've played first because that's a win and get in game for both teams.

The Lions have nothing to play for now. I would laugh my butt off if Dan Campbell rested his starters during tonight's primetime game.

Probably people's reaction to the first forward pass as well B|

Yes, because throwing a football forwards is exactly the same thing as rewarding an offense with another try for failure. The former is an innovation in the sport, the other is a participation trophy.

Jamaal Williams is 6 yards away from 1,000... first time in his career. Also one TD away from tying Barry's record, 2 TDs from breaking it.

Where does he stand on leading the league in rushing tds?
