With our past OL struggles, that was not gonna work too often, yet Mixon still had decent to good overall yardage totals because he'd break quite a few. Zeke isn't doing that either. I think if you're bad bad, it may not make much of a difference. If you're in that first year where 30% of your cap is dead money, then I don't think it's going to make a ton of difference even long term.
