That's a surprise for me considering we just released Jean-Charles. Must mean Sapp or Johnson is making the roster.

Safe to assume it's AJJ. No one really had either Gaines or Jean-Charles making this roster with the emergence of Valentine and the ST prowess of Ballentine.

I think one more cut from our safety group and this should confirm who made the roster.

Savage, Ford, Owens seems surefire locks at this point, Leavitt has to be staying because we cut Jean-Charles and Gaines who were our ST contributors. The final spot will come down to Moore and Johnson. I personally would like us to keep Moore because of his speed but he has been in and out with little injuries through training camp hasn't he?

We very easily could keep 6 safeties. I would be surprised if either Moore or AJJ are cut. Owens is the most likely S to be cut IMO.

Right, I'll be surprised if Owens isn't cut.

I'm trying to make sense of the Orzech will be re-signed rumor.

Cutting him is a 300k cap hit, not an insignificant amount of money, only to turn around and re-sign him. It not a smart use of cap resources. Why not just cut Hatcher and keep Orzech and save ourselves the trouble?

If we're planning on cutting both only to re-sign Orzech later, It's still a 300k cap hit. Why not release one of the bottom of the roster safeties and re-sign that safety instead? Johnson, Owens, Moore all have smaller cap hits.

We'll sign Orzech to a base salary only deal with no SB. He already got his SB, so that was n our cap no matter what, now we'll give him the same base salary. Cap will be identical.

Packers could get help at center from unlikely source

According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, Jets offensive lineman Trystan Colon could become available. Cimini reports that multiple teams have shown interest in trading for Colon.

Something to watch tomorrow on cutdown day: A number of teams have called the Jets inquiring about trading for C/G Trystan Colon, per source. The #Jets have a surplus at center (McGovern, Tippmann, Schweitzer).
