I feel like everyone on that list is an upgrade, on the field, as compared to Savage last year. I'm not sure if PFF kept stats that far back, but I'd be interested to know if any of them were the 2nd worst safety graded for a year...out of a sample size of 85+ safeties. (I looked and I can't find any data for Jennings or Roman.) I get the love for him (Savage), no joke, because of his athleticism. But, man, underwhelming doesn't even begin to describe his career so far. I guess starting him is fine for a team like ours that is banking on youth and athleticism. Especially with Stokes on PUP. That's crazy. I'm just assuming all that safety talk is just media fluff with no substance to the reports. Wilson flashed some running ability. Taylor helps more this season with ST and pass protection, but from a future RB perspective Wilson looked good.
