What I really liked about todays game was we didn’t play down to the level of competition and just beat them by 7/10 pts in a game that could have conceivably been lost had things swung different at the end.  We’re notorious for having those types of wins.
this time we kept dominating throughout.  That’s a very big and impressive change to me.

The playcalling on offense petered out a bit in the second half.

That said, context is key.

Short week with a first time HC, OC, and rookie QB in his second start, it's to be expected that they wouldn't have a complete game script.

the deep shot after Hobbs int was great, it just didnt work out.
thought play calling was conservative, but massive lead in AOCs second start.
We were running decent enough.

Took a few shots that were dropped, or thrown away (hunter td route).

Aiden wasn't even that bad against the Chargers. He didn't even get all the reps that week, he moved the offense, we missed some fg's, the OL was terrible, what made it look worst is the two pretty much unforced fumbles, but I chalk that up to nerves. The INT at the goal line to tie up the game was a stupid play call, McDaniels trying to score on 1st and goal with 3 minutes left so the Chargers can have time to beat us was idiotic.

Shows today he can be a good game manager if given time by the offensive line. Next week will be a big step up, but that's why he needed weeks to get used to the speed of the game.

Weren't you the guy that said the defense hasn't turned the corner? Or was that someone else?

Yep that was before the Lions game(the lions are second in the NFL in scoring making them a reputable team). Teams teams like the Broncos or the Packers reputable

Couldn't agree more. This was a fun win and we should appreciate it because the future is brighter than it was last week and the road ahead is hard and daunting. Was a great way to kick it off instead of the playing down to competition we are all so used to seeing at this point.

Watched AOC walk to the line, scan the defense and check out of an apparent run play while the defense was showing heavy pressure.  This is a move that would not have been allowed under the previous regime.  I saw it today and couldn't be happier.

Definitely a different energy. Josh was the boss who made you hate going to work. Team looked relieved and showed in their play.

watching the postgame locker room stuff. Night and day from Josh, he was so bland and robotic, had no emotion. AP is a former player and you can’t fake his energy. The team fed off that, if only for a week.

I understand tempering expectations. Nobody is saying we're turning a corner and playoff bound.

But winning has to start somewhere. Unlike the token wins we got under McDoofus, we actually BEAT the opponent in style. That's undeniable progress compared to what we've seen.

This wasn't a lucky break vs a bad opponent like we've seen this year, this was a team playing inspired, good, solid football.

We'll probably only win 2 or 3 more tops, but I'm cool with that if this is what we're getting from an on-field and sideline perspective. Losing a competitive game or to a great opponent, with where we're at, there's no shame in that. What was unacceptable and impossible to get behind were fugly wins against bad opponents that people clung to as if they were some sort of indicator of actual progress- the wins homers like @Justwinning were recently telling me and @Jeremy408 to eat a dck for criticizing.

What did I catch a stray for??? Lol
