BigC421/
Michigan will throttle OSU by 20 again and ESPN/Thamel will cry a river that there very interesting but not all that football relevant story amounted to very little. Â
naptownskinsfan
Bama doesn’t go up in the rankings?  No change in the top 8.

If the win out including beating UGA in the SECC they are in. If they lose another game they are out. Nothing that happens in between changes that. It only has any bearing on UGA if they lose to Bama and whether that costs them a playoff spot.

Should, but who knows how the committee will actually decide if they think at the end of the season Alabama is the better team. Thankfully this will be less of an issue, at least with the best teams actually getting a chance to compete and then a few arguing they deserved it over others at the end of the at large spectrum
NateDawg
It would take a perfect storm of all these other teams winning out to even have that conversation. If Alabama ran the table and beat Georgia, you would have them, Texas, FSU, Big Ten Winner, Washington as the 5 teams. This all seems unlikely. I still think the Pac 12 will beat up on each other yet. Texas I also think will lose another game between now and the conference title game. Texas has a tissue soft finish before the Big 12 title game.

I agree, I just think they will still lose a game if you include the Big 12 title game in there. I don’t think they are remotely a top 5 team. Of course, that game in Ames is always chaotic so who knows.

But I think in the end this situation would be dictated by Oklahoma. If they lose another game that leads back to Bama because their loss would be considered much better

What would even be the point of playing Alabama as an OOC team? Because if even Texas can't beat Alabama at Alabama and make it to the playoffs over them, then there's literally no reward.
