I think he could end up playing himself into the first round which I think is a big feat considering his age and injury history. On-field, he isn't too dissimilar from CJ Stroud.

I wouldn’t be shocked if someone gets desperate and he goes top 10 -15ish

This is the most I've watch penix for extended stretches, so not sure on this.

Obviously the lefty thing likely leads to this. But Penix reminds me of a more mobile better athlete Tua.

Is that a fair comp or am i way off?

Way off. Tua's biggest strength is his quick processing and smooth release point. Penix has an unorthodox release and struggles with processing.

Is the age thing that big an issue?

Option A.  Younger but needs more time to develop.

Option B.  Older but more likely plug and play

This is reminding me of C.J. Stroud's performance against UGA last year. That's what sold me on Stroud. Penix has been absolutely lights out.

Agreed, though that UGA defense was better than this Texas D

Never thought age should be a weakness. In the best case scenario, you have him for 2 years less in a 15 year career.

Like is that bad? lol

I feel like he is processing well this game.   Again. I haven’t seen much extended games of him.

Same, always thought it was kind of dumb logic. If I use say a top 15 pick and I get even just a decade of high end qb play, it’s easily worth it.

That's what im thinking.  If he can play 10-12 years, isn't that worth it regardless of whether its 21-33 vs 25-37
