Leader
Acme Packing: NFL Draft 2020: Identifying Packers wide receiver targets despite limited testing data Using the tools at our disposal, we can start to parse this with receivers. Using the traditional standards Green Bay tends to follow, a scant five guys check every box: Denzel Mims Michael Pittman Jr. John Hightower Gabriel Davis Freddie Swain Of that group, only Mims projects to be a first-round player, though Pittman’s combine opened eyes and he’s making a push to be a top-50 player. Meanwhile, Hightower and Davis look like likely Day 2 picks with Swain a possible Day 3 sleeper. For a team like Green Bay in need of some juice, this list doesn’t leave much flexibility. It’s no wonder the Packers reportedly covet Mims. In terms of players at the combine, this leaves 50 guys on the outside looking in. That puts the available pool of likely receivers here with their projected draft slot: Henry Ruggs — 1st Justin Jefferson — 1st Denzel Mims — 1st Brandon Aiyuk — 1st/2nd Michael Pittman Jr. — 2nd Chase Claypool — 2nd Donovan Peoples-Jones — 2nd/3rd Gabriel Davis — 3rd John Hightower — 3rd Antonio Gibson — 3rd/4th Joe Reed — 7th round/UDFA Tyrie Cleveland — 7th round/UDFA Edited March 24, 2020 by Leader
Leader
Acme Packing - In Kiper’s third mock draft for this year, he is picking a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers at pick number 30. However, he has gone through three different receivers now at that selection, with the latest being an example of a Combine workout driving a player up the board. Immediately following the end of the college football season, Kiper projected Penn State’s KJ Hamler to the Packers, then switched to Justin Jefferson from LSU before the Combine. Now, he has Notre Dame’s Chase Claypool as the pick, coming as the seventh wide receiver off the board. Here’s Kiper’s explanation: Green Bay cut Jimmy Graham and hasn’t added any receiving help this offseason, so I’m sticking with a wide receiver for its pick, though it’s the third different wideout in my three mock drafts. Like Denzel Mims, Claypool had an electrifying combine, running a 4.42 40 and putting up a 40.5-inch vertical at 6-foot-4, 238 pounds. This might be a slight reach, but a team could fall in love with his traits, and he produced last season, catching 66 passes for 1,037 yards and 13 touchdowns. He could be a matchup nightmare for Aaron Rodgers.

I think the last entry was just to provide some of the player's characteristics. Since he didnt do that with any other player? Yeah. Could mean he likes him more than the others. Leader
PackersWire - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is back in California after scrambling out Peru amidst the coronavirus crisis currently afflicting the world. Rodgers told Pat McAfee and A.J. Hawk that he and three others with him barely got through a crowded, panic-stricken airport and onto a private plane before the airport closed down indefinitely. “We made it by about 15 minutes,” Rodgers explained. Dude just needs to bulk up a bit. The other guys all lack explosion and creativity to their routes and releases. Brit Pack
In that same interview with Pat McAfee Rodgers was pretty happy with the signing of Funchess. Most of it is BS talk, much about nothing. A little about the CBA. How he feels the Packers window to win is now and that he wants to play out the remainder of his 4 years on this contract which takes him to 40 and see if he can get another contract. Wants to only play for the Packers. Actually a waste of an hour really, it was Pat licking Aaron balls, very little football talk and just shooting the breeze.
