So not league minimum?...hmmm...

and not my Lucas Patrick type deal either.

Either I really underestimated and undervalued JRJ or......maybe we saw him more than other teams.

Guess we shall see.

That is all he was worth to the Packers, which was my point. This is a win-win for the Packers.

It's called cashing in..........

Warren Sharp -  Contracts signed by Kirk Cousins:

2012: standard 4-yr rookie deal
2016: $19.9M fully guaranteed
2017: $23.9M fully guaranteed
2018: $84.0M fully guaranteed
2020: $66.0M fully guaranteed
2022: $35.0M fully guaranteed
2024: $150M ($100M fully guaranteed)

career: $411M thru 2027...

...of which $329M was fully guaranteed

(and 1 playoff win in 12 years).

In defense of JRJ, we did have a pretty good OL once the team gelled.  Everything was off at some point with the offense last season, but it eventually worked out.  JRJ wasn't Chad Hutchinson, but he wasn't a sieve either.  And you have to remember, there are a lot of really bad OL teams in the league.  Solid but not spectacular is what we move on from, while other teams would kill to give their QB more than 2 seconds more than 3 times per game.

Anybody else wanna see the Packers nab Bobby Wagner?  He's old, but still a stud run defender.  183 tackles and 2.5 sacks for him last year .. career high in tackles.  He'll be 34 this season though .. ugh.

I'm thinking paying a premium for 34 year old LB's in FA really isn't Gute's MO

Exciting news................not

Connor Leatch -   Dominoes continue to fall in the QB carousel:

The Vikings have agreed to terms with former Broncos and and Seahawks QB Drew Lock. This comes shortly after the departure of Kirk Cousins to Atlanta. Lock is expected to be a bridge  during Minnesota’s search towards the future.
