The longer a coach has been in the league the more likely they are to pick from their circle. So yeah, point granted, but that’s not likely to happen. That's probably more connecting dots then anything else. LIS in the NFL General thread, he's going somewhere where his guy will be installed as GM, because he's going to demand final say with personnel decisions.
