The odds of either of them ever being as good as Seager or Correa is so small is my problem.

Perhaps. If George was here, either Seager or Correa would already be in pinstripes. Not so with Hal.

Seager is gone now, anyway. Rangers.

At least the Rangers will be fun for me to watch in there new stadium.

Meanwhile the Yankees might be the 4th best team in the AL East

Maybe they are saving their pennies for a big Judge contract.  He and Gio are the only position players I’d want to pay right now.

I get the yanks can’t pay everyone big money but damn do something

They are doing something. Hal is weighing his money, Cashman is living on the streets, and Boone is handing out food in the Bronx (a very worthy pursuit by the way).

Anyone a Rangers fan? Are they actually good again or is it a mirage?

I stopped watching hockey a few years back because the Rangers front office seemed to stop even trying to win games, and continually traded away all the players I liked and let Lundqvist's last years just be a sad waste.

Edit: oops. Meant to put this in the TAJT thread.

@TheChad They are actually good again.  The painful trading away and rebuilding was necessary and executed very well.  They also got lucky and won #2 overall and #1 overall in back to back drafts to go along with their other high end talent Zibanejad and Panarin.  Panarin has turned into the best Winger in the league, Fox has turned into the best D-man in the league and the heir to Lundqvist has been the best goalie in the league this season.  To start the year they were stealing points when they should have lost.  Now they are a force with elite goal tending.  They also added a lot of "grit" in the offseason and they beat the sh** out of teams physically and on the forecheck.

They have way more high end talent than the Cup runs from 2012-2016.  They also have a loaded prospect pool to make trades.

Oh wow you're going to get me to buy NHL GamePass again (or whatever the hockey version is called).

I stopped watching hockey entirely so the only names I even recognise on the roster now are Kreider and Zibanejad.

It's a fun team to watch for sure! Panarin just had a 4 point game, 7 in the last two lol.  Fox has 11 points in 7 games as a D man! This NY team did the rebuild correctly.

I met Kreider over the summer and got to hold the Stanley Cup with Shattenkirk.
