They also got lucky and won #2 overall and #1 overall in back to back drafts to go along with their other high end talent Zibanejad and Panarin. Panarin has turned into the best Winger in the league, Fox has turned into the best D-man in the league and the heir to Lundqvist has been the best goalie in the league this season. To start the year they were stealing points when they should have lost. Now they are a force with elite goal tending. They also added a lot of "grit" in the offseason and they beat the sh** out of teams physically and on the forecheck. They have way more high end talent than the Cup runs from 2012-2016. Panarin just had a 4 point game, 7 in the last two lol. Fox has 11 points in 7 games as a D man! This NY team did the rebuild correctly.
