Hopefully this release is just a part of a plan to bring in one or two of the top remaining free agents. J. Hankins, N. Bowman, D. Murray, and J. Matthews are some interesting names IMO. Now I have no idea whether that is indeed the case as I don't tend to spend much time watching college punters, but if there is some truth to it, it may explain why they felt okay about doing this to save some cash to put towards Mack/Bowman. G Posted March 31, 2018 Share Posted March 31, 2018 Really like King and wish him well. I remember him securing a 1st down when a missed block would have blocked the punt. The guy was the anti-Seabass in the athletic ability department. I thought he was well paid but I really don't like ST specialists making too much $$$. So the money saved by removing a Kicker and Punter is ok in my view. So I don't have a problem with the move especially with so many 6 round picks at our disposal. Can you imagine the kind of show King would come up with if he was playing in a SB? He'd get flagged every time he has a shot to be caught on camera.
