Just sit down with dude and tell him to tone it down. I'm sure he's gunning for Lechler now.

Or whoever was their punter in TB in 09....

In the last week, we have gotten rid of two of the best ST players in the league in Patterson and King and signed Reggie Nelson and Leon Fall.

Yup and saved 6mil in cap that will go to Mack or Bowman.

Good God people, the impact a punter has on the game is almost negligible. In the super bowl neither team punted. If your offense is good then you’re punting 1-2 times a game. The raiders are betting on the coaches to have a good offense.

Raider's website posted top 15 free agents left unsigned right after the announcement of them releasing M. King. Hopefully this release is just a part of a plan to bring in one or two of the top remaining free agents. J. Hankins, N. Bowman, D. Murray, and J. Matthews are some interesting names IMO.

But people in the building and King’s teammates were not too surprised at his being released. The flamboyant social media star was perceived as hard to handle and teammates looked at him differently after a 2017 Pro Bowl tweet that showed him having his chain playfully tugged by then-Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib.

There's a thread in the draft section named, 'Is this the best punter draft ever?'. Now I have no idea whether that is indeed the case as I don't tend to spend much time watching college punters, but if there is some truth to it, it may explain why they felt okay about doing this to save some cash to put towards Mack/Bowman.

Really like King and wish him well. I remember him securing a 1st down when a missed block would have blocked the punt. The guy was the anti-Seabass in the athletic ability department. I thought he was well paid but I really don't like ST specialists making too much $$$. So the money saved by removing a Kicker and Punter is ok in my view. So I don't have a problem with the move especially with so many 6 round picks at our disposal. Most enjoyable punter to watch and I doubt he retires early as I'm sure he'll want to go to a division rival now.

And it doesn't hurt the team that much. He's a punter. He also had a down year by a good margin, made light of the whole Talib/Crabtree fiasco, and so on. What coach trying to win games needs this many issues from a damn punter.

Thank you.

Can you imagine the kind of show King would come up with if he was playing in a SB? He'd get flagged every time he has a shot to be caught on camera.

Selfishness, just like Crabtree. This is a team sport and players who care more about themselves than how their actions can negatively impact the results aren't welcomed anymore. Those type of players wouldn't last long on the Pats either and no one would have a problem with it.

So Gruden is starting "the Raider way" lol. The reason it works for the the Pats is they win. Hopefully the Raiders rebuild a culture of winning.

The only issue I take is if you're sending a message..... why is Lynch still on the team? His antics are far more of a distraction.
