vike daddy
Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst believes a new contract with quarterback Aaron Rodgers will get done. Gutekunst said this morning on PFT Live that he sees no reason that the Packers and Rodgers won’t come to terms. Gutekunst: “Both sides are working towards it and we’re confident we’ll come to an agreement soon." http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/05/03/packers-gm-expects-new-aaron-rodgers-contract-soon/

I'd be amazed if that would ever happen, considering how much damage that would cause for the bottom of the roster players. So much so, that I'm not sure the NFLPA would like that. RpMc
Well, Matt Ryan just got $30M per year... thank you Falcons. Hope you're paying attention Rodgers!

Klomp
If Ryan got $100 million guaranteed, that means Aaron should get $200 million guaranteed, right?
Krauser
Ryan is really good, maybe the best of the not-yet-a-HOF-lock QBs. If Cousins is worth $28M AAV, $30M for Ryan is more than fair. Rodgers on that scale is probably worth $34-36M so GB is getting a great deal if he signs for $32M. Edited May 4, 2018 by Krauser
SemperFeist
I still like PFTs theory, that Green Bay doesn’t actually have to give in to Rodgers. They could play out his contract and then franchise him twice. It would save them quite a bit of money.
