It is hard to say. Rodgers has the numbers, but he never had a stretch like Favre did in the mid-90s where he was undoubtedly the best QB in the game. From 95-97, it was Favre then everyone else, I don't think you can say the same for A-Rod outside of 2011.
Uncle Buck
I'm going to hold off on commenting until Rodgers retires. Then it will be time to either eat some crow or be able to tell Cheese Nation "I told you so."

Rodgers had a passer rating of 123, 108, 105 and 112 between 2011 and 2014. Rodgers competition for best QB has been Manning and Brady. He had it much tougher to be considered the best QB in the game.

I think Rodgers still fares better, but not as much as those raw numbers show.
Chargers
Ted Thompson and that Packers defense are why Rodgers has less SBs than Eli Manning and Big Ben. Both those franchises pride themselves on defense and the Packers never do except for a roided up Clay Matthews year in 2010.

Steve Young was higher the next year (but played in fewer games) and the year after that as well. Granted that's king of dubious because he was throwing the ball significantly more than Young at the end of his career.

Our defense in 2011 was fatally flawed. Had that backup TE not tried to catch the onside kick in OT in front of Jordy Nelson and the Packers got the ball I have a feeling the Packers win that game and go onto the Super Bowl instead of Seattle. His name was Brandon Bostick and he's a hero!!

Heinz D.
Why doesn't Aaron Rodgers have two Super Bowl rings? Two words. Both start with T. First word is Ted...

Does that say more about Favre being better than Rodgers, or does it say that maybe the level of QB play now is better than it was then - especially at the top? SteelKing728
Rodgers will get a 2nd ring, but it'll probably come as a Chicago Bear or Minnesota Viking. Its destiny. But on a more serious note, GB should have won it in 2014. Even if they beat NYG in 2011, they would've been beat by SF or NE. No way they were getting past SF in 2012. 2013 team was weak. 2015 and 2016 the defense was trash. Maybe now that they are being overlooked in 2018 a bit this will be their year? Nex_Gen
I think Rodgers' inability to stay healthy has been the biggest factor in him not having a 2nd ring yet. There were absolutely some seasons in between 12-15 where Green Bay absolutely could have won had he made himself available....
