Since VvD made his Liverpool debut 1/22/18, Liverpool have allowed the least amount of goals in the league (excluding newly promoted sides) and have the most clean sheets in the league. I think they would've been better off playing Matic at CB. -Fred is like a lost puppy. -Ander Herrera has turned in an awful performance. -Jose has been playing with a 3 man line of Shaw, Herrera and Smalling. -3 Yellows in the first half. -Luke Shaw has played astounding. -Kane amazing goal on a set piece. -Trippier's pace and movement down the field is amazing. -Lucas is constantly in the box it seems. First half, they were the better team. Lukaku missed an open goal and they pressed Spurs into making a lot of mistakes. Second half was a different story, though. Other than the Lukaku chance right after the first goal, they had zero threat. Pretty much capitulated. Dembele dominated the midfield and Toby had Lukaku locked up. Spurs just adjusted. The problem with this back 3 it seemed that once the Spurs spread the ball out wide and then behind the midfield, 3 ATB didn't look at all prepared or comfortable to deal with it. First half United pressed really well leading to them doing better, Spurs adjusted at the half and United had no response. Midfield too didn't track back enough.
