Many kids who’s parents think they have a shot are now being “redshirted” their grade 7/8 year for similar reasons. This means they will get more varsity time in HS, and more likely to get a scholarship to college. And thus you have a bunch of 19/20 yo freshmen If anyone's curious to read more about this, Malcom Gladwell has a great book on this called Outliers. Definitely worth a read. This is his first season in the NFL but he's had 20 years coaching front 7 positions in college for 20 years. Should be a significant upgrade and a perfect fit for developing young players. Rising star at HC in Lafleur, what looks like a legit franchise QB in Love, the youngest roster in the league and a compliment of 11 draft picks including 5 (#'s 25, 41, 58, 88, 91) in the top 100.
