Thelonebillsfan
Surprise, Brian May and Roger Taylor turned a biopic about one of the most profoundly interesting human beings to ever live into a safe, sanitized PG-13 wank fest over the band that might as well not even have Freddie Mercury as the main character. From what I've heard, the movie is almost offensive in the lengths it goes to maintain it's banality. At least Malek is good. Thelonebillsfan
4 minutes ago, August4th said: I'm guessing the thought process here is: Dead Men made just enough money to justify another movie Disney (unlike WB) got smart enough to realize Johnny Depp is way too poisonous now to have as a lead in 2018 But also realized a Pirates movie without Jack Sparrow isn't profitable So they're rebooting it asap while trying to find an actor for Sparrow that can be just as iconic as Johnny Depp's performance. Hopefully the new actor chooses to go in a different direction than "Pirate Mick Jagger" because we don't need to see someone else do essentially the same roll. They won't since it took Depp using the considerable clout he had in 2003 just to get Disney to allow him to do that, but hey I can dream. Chinaski_86
Add "Night of the Comet" to the long list of upcoming horror movie remakes. So: Wrong Turn, Train to Busan, Pet Semetary, Suspiria, Candyman(?) and now Night of the Comet Come on Hollywood. At least try to be more creative...
