That also could stem from the MM theory and mantra of chunk yardage plays is a key in scoring points in the NFL.  Maybe some of that has been drilled into him in the earlier years and it has worked in the past to the tune of a Super Bowl title, 15-1 record and some MVP's.

Positive feedback loop gone wild

We have some great players, but the talent is spotty. The IOL is weak and has trouble holding the pocket. Too much reliance on rookie WRs. A few mistakes in big games like this are the difference between winning and losing. There's little depth on the DL and LB is a mess. Please see my longer post above.

I can agree with that.  I also think we’re not using our key playmakers efficiently.  If we did, it would make the Jags look better, IMO.

It's the Patriots' way. Use your JAGs to the best of their abilities instead of square peg/round hole. Supplement your playmakers well and you'll have success.

I agree, that's absolutely part of it. Like I said, you'll live by the sword of the big play with Rodgers. Tried and true. Proven in battle. But on nights like this, frustrating.

Yup. That's where MM's coaching fails. Poor use of talent. Along with poor game management. For example, when he chose to punt tonight, I said we'd never see the ball again. When a dork like me can see that, what is MM thinking?

I agree we need OGs(I would love Cody Ford with our 2nd 1st or Lindstrom with our 2nd), but Linsley has been very, very good.

There has long been a narrative on this board that Seahawks GM John Schneider has been horrible at his job since the Seahawks went to back to back Super Bowls in 2013 and 2014.

That chatter reached a crescendo last offseason when the Pack was looking to hire a new GM.

I happen to agree Schneider has been pretty bad over the past several years.

However, despite Schneider's awful work and the tremendous turnover of the Seattle roster (Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril, Richard Sherman, Cam Chancellor) and an injured Earl Thomas, the 5-5 Seahawks just beat the 4-5-1 Packers.

Schneider is not the only GM whose poor decisions have eroded the talent on his roster.

the Seahawks have their wins against: Dallas, @Arizona, @Oakland, San Francisco, Green Bay

We lost to an average team on the road. Why? Because we're an average team right now.

We are an average team because we are poorly coached on O and ST.  I think the talent is there but we keep finding new ways to screw up.

The Seahawks are the epitome of average.

And the Packers, who have beaten the Bears, 49ers, Dolphins, and Bills, are just a titch below average.

Two mediocre teams going nowhere this season.

C'mon the game and this season comes down to Rodgers refusing to take what the defense gives him and going for the spectacular.

We're bent over a table with him without lube.

He'll play himself out of the hall - or at least first ballot with his arrogance -

AND, more importantly will keep us from enjoying the promised land.

Him and his gal can enjoy their victory

It's not proven in battle. He's been on a team that won one Superbowl and we he could have put it away did not. Our defense won that Superbowl.

What victory is that?

Are you blaming AR's play because of his girlfriend??    AR isn't playing all that great but you blame it on that?  Seriously??  lol

You know you can say the same for the defense, they could have held them to less than 25 points, but they didnt. They held them off on the final drive, but Rodgers also helped them score 31. But I guess a  team victory not a thing huh?
