thedorchannel
The Saints have already won a couple games (giants game, Minnesota game) without Drew Brees doing much. Rams just won a game without Todd Gurly doing much. Pat Mahomes is pretty much phenomenal every game this season and is the heartbeat of that chiefs team. This rams loss actually shows Mahomes at his worst (bad decision making) and he was still amazing.
base615
Not many MVPs give up 5 turnovers in a game.

H.E Pennypacker
Yes, based on the one game where he has 5 turnovers he should be named MVP. Can't imagine what you'll be saying if he has 6.
Jakuvious
I said this in the MVP thread, I don't think this game makes or breaks his case. He was the hero of the game and also made key mistakes at the same time. It reaffirmed where he already sat compared to Brees, more dynamic and bulk productive, but riskier as well. It just made the debate even more determined by the turnover vs bulk production debate.
JMG5
You could've made this point in the MVP thread.
Tugboat
tbh, maybe Tyreek Hill should be MVP.
Elky
Brees was a better candidate even before last night.

I don't see how last night could possibly be an argument in Mahomes's favor.

Efficiency argument "but he had 5 turnovers" vs volume argument "but he threw for almost 500 yards and 6 TDs".

jrry32
Shouldn't Goff be the MVP if that's the argument? I don't think it's a good argument. Mahomes will be in the running with Brees. I expect Brees to win it as a lifetime achievement MVP.
lancerman
You could legitimately argue that the Chiefs would have blown out the Rams if not for mistakes by Mahomes. Not sure this helps him
