Slade signed with the Nittany Lions as the nation’s No. 1 all-purpose back in 2018 and was a five-star recruit in the 247Sports Composite rankings. Saw this one coming a mile away frankly. Being the #1 APB in 2018, then ending the season as 4th on the depth chart behind Journey Brown and two players a year younger than him. Honestly this is good for him. Ever since SaQuon came through here, too many RBs have been chomping at the bit to come here. Pretty sure Jarren Williams is a better QB commodity in the portal than Trey Lowe, I have never heard of him and has he done anything at the D1 level? Heck Jack Allison the other former WV QB is in the portal and at least he has been productive at the D1 level a little. Not to mention Peyton Ramsey, Tyrrell Pigrome, Anthony Brown, Max Bortenschlager and Andrew Bunch are all in the portal as well. Still surprised JT Daniels has not entered into it.
