1. Tom Brady  (Marginally talented player that just so happens to be the GOAT.  Thanks Belichick)

2. Aaron Rodgers   (Probably the best overall QB ever, talent wise)

3. Drew Brees  (Getting underrated on here....still definitely top 3 IMO)

4.Ben Roethlisberger   (Staple behind the top 3)

5. Matt Ryan  (Consistently good QB that had an elite year in 2016)

6.Russell Wilson  (Really good, but lacking consistency the last 2 years or so)

7.Philip Rivers  (Bad year last year, but I still think he is top 5 caliber)

8. Andrew Luck   (Very good, but Im still not sure where to put him)

9.  Derek Carr (I think he jumps into the top 4 or 5 this year)

10.Matthew Stafford  -  (Very underrated the last two years)

11.Eli Manning  (Good QB....shown more consistency the last couple years)

12.Cam Newton  (What Cam are we getting?   Obviously hugely talented, but I dont entirely trust him as a passer).

13. Kirk Cousins  (Part of me wants to put him top 10, but I need another year.  This isnt a bad spot IMO)

14. Marcus Mariota  (Still has alot to show, but I like him slightly more than Jameis right now)

15. Jameis Winston  (Heading in the right direction, but needs to get more consistent week to week)

16. Andy Dalton   (Solid QB, but limited)

17.Alex Smith   (Solid QB, but limited)

18.Dak Prescott (I dont like judging QBs based on one year, but he gets this by default for now.  He;ll be top 10 next year IMO)

19.Joe Flacco    (I dont even know, honestly.   Just okay).

20.Carson Palmer  (Always somewhat overrated IMO....going downhill, but still decent, I guess.)

21. Sam Bradford (Could be slightly higher, I guess, but I think he is just meh)

22. Carson Wentz  (Rising, for sure, but this is fine for now)

23 .Tyrod Taylor   (Just kinda there)

24.Blake Bortles  (On his last legs)

25. Jay Cutler (Not sure where he is at, so this is the highest I can put him)

26. Trevor Siemian   (Meh)

27. Brian Hoyer  (Ugh)

28. Josh McCown  (Why?)

29.Mike Glennon  (Shouldnt be starting)

30. Tom Savage   (Okay...)

31. Jared Goff  (I would take him over the guys ranked 23-30 due to upside, but is he better?  I dont know....yet).

32. DeShone Kizer  (By default....has yet to prove anything)

1. Aaron Rodgers (Pretty decent QB)

2. Tom Brady (I'd put him at number 1 if I had to make one change to this list)

3. Matt Ryan (He did have a pretty good season last year)

4. Drew Brees (This guy is elite)

5. Ben Roethlisberger (Pretty good QB with pretty great talent)

6. Derek Carr (I hope he throws for 56 touchdowns and 6,000 yards this season and wins the Super Bowl)

7. Andrew Luck (Had a pretty good season last year)

8. Dak Prescott (One of best rookie QB season performances of all time, only knock on him is the fact that he had an incredible offensive line and RB)

9. Kirk Cousins (You like that!?!)

10. Russell Wilson (Will somebody get this man an offensive line?)

11. Matthew Stafford (Really surprised he kept up his level of play without C. Johnson)

12. Philip Rivers (Too many interceptions last year)

13. Marcus Mariota (He's going to be a pretty good QB for the Titans over the next 10 years)

14. Carson Palmer (Hurry up and retire)

15. Jameis Winston (He's pretty good)

16. Alex Smith (I hate this guy)

17. Cam Newton (Really fell off last year)

18. Eli Manning (Not a bad QB, could really be listed anywhere from 14 to 18)

19. Joe Flacco (Doesn't deserve to be paid well)

20. Andy Dalton (Could be ranked a little higher)

21. Sam Bradford (Good TD/INT ratio last season, when I watched him he was terrible though)

22. Tyrod Taylor (I enjoy watching him play, too bad he plays in the same division as the Patriots)

23. Trevor Siemian (I hate this guy too)

24. Carson Wentz (I hope he gets sacked 10 times on Christmas)

25. Brian Hoyer (Who the hell is this guy?)

26. Blake Bortles (No Raiders fan will ever forget that he was ranked above Carr on the NFL Top 100 a couple years back)

27. Jay Cutler (How is he still here?)

28. Josh McCown (Look at what I said about Cutler)

29. Mike Glennon (Look at McCown)

30. Tom Savage (I'd honestly hire him to be on my depth chart simply due to his last name)

31. Jared Goff (Really based upon the amount of games he has played)

32. DeShone Kizer (Rookie)

Flacco, Palmer, and Smith over Mariota? Really?

The most interesting thing I've seen is that draft twitter is convinced that Mariota is far and away the best young qb (better than Carr) and yet on FF, Mariota is in the 14-18 range more often than not. What is the reason for this disparity? Personally I'm more on FF's side in general, but Mariota is closer to 12/13 than he is to Flacco and Smith.

People with Palmer high are still high on his MVP caliber season 2 years ago.

I had them below Mariota. So I did good.

Not sure what more Brady has to do to be considered number one currently xD

I literally said that if I had to make one change, it would be putting him at #1.  The guy is a beast, coming from a Raiders fan.  No doubt about it.  But Aaron Rodgers can ball out.  If he were with the Patriots I'm sure he'd be winning Super Bowls every year as well.  BB is currently the greatest mind in football today.

I think in general, FF is more hesitant to crown young guys than your average football fan. Which is fair. There's also flaws in his game that make some hesitant to put him above some of the quality vets. Add in the fact that he hasn't played 16 games in either of his first two years. Now personally, as you said, I'd put him closer to the Cam, Rivers, Cousins tier (with Marcus outside of the top 10) than Alex Smith or Joe Flacco, but that's just me.

I don't really care about the young quarterback rankings, because I don't really know how to define young. Derek Carr is three years older than Mariota. Carson Wentz is older than him. In a few weeks, Luck will be five years older than him. At Marcus' age, Luck was throwing 23 touchdowns and 18 interceptions as a rookie and Carr was also having a fairly average rookie year. At 23, Mariota has a 45:19 TD:INT ratio and a higher career YPA than either Luck or Carr. Who knows if we're already seeing his ceiling or (and I say this without really expecting it) if he has the same level of growth that Luck and Carr had from 23 to 26.

Personally, I get it. This will be a defining year for him, so I honestly don't think his ranking right now is all that important. The excuses are gone now. His rookie year, he played well with an absolutely horrendous supporting cast. His sophomore year, he had an infinitely improved ground game and line, but still a weak group of receivers. Now he has two good backs, a good offensive line and will be throwing to Corey Davis, Rishard Matthews, Eric Decker and Delanie Walker. Add in that I think your average football fan (or FF poster for that matter) is far more likely to actually watch the Titans play than they have been in a long time, and he has a chance to either get a huge boost towards the way most view him or just stick in that average to good range.

Yeah, as far as age goes that's fair. My point was that there's a HUGE disparity between how Mariota is viewed by draft twitter and here. Like HUGE. I think they overrate him to put him top 10, or over carr, cam, stafford NOW, but I think FF underrates him. He's above average at this point and that isn't in doubt IMO.

I think he takes another step this year. What might happen is that he does play better in terms of accuracy, decision making, down the field throws, etc. , but he will benefit from the supporting cast somewhat in ways he didn't before e.g. a screen pass for a 50 yard TD or his receivers making spectacular catches on some of his inaccurate throws. As a result, people will say "but his supporting cast is sooo good, anyone would succeed with them" when in reality, a better cast doesn't mean he isn't playing better at the position. FF will like him more, but draft twitter may continue their contrarian takes and crown Mariota as the new perennially overrated qb :/.

So yeah, he doesn't make your number one spot. The apparent greatest QB of all time isn't even the best in current NFL...
