The problem with going that approach is you have absolutely NO job security in the future. Dak is 1 play away from NOT seeing a long term contract, no getting that massive long term deal, maybe even being let go depending on the severity of it. Ala Teddy. It's stupid to be a 1 year rental, no matter what that price is. Especially in a sport where your career can legit end in one catastrophic play. Just because he's been healthy doesn't mean you assume health. Not in the NFL. I've always been of the opinion The Jones's are just buying their time to see if Dak can actually make/ win a SB (2 seasons) and if not, just move on.
