Sounds like a terrible disease - I really feel for Ted and his family.  I wish him nothing but the best in his years ahead as he fights this disease.

Love Ted. Best of Luck to him. Glad he made it to his ceremony, but the timing of it makes me wonder if everyone realizes he might not be able to do something like that for much longer.

This sounds terrible. Hopefully there's a cure of some sort. Otherwise I just hope his doctors can keep it under control. Stay strong Ted.

I was just thinking about this.  I had heard that he had health issues, but didn't know if it was just a rumor.

There was rumors of early Parkinson disease. There is so much that it could be and do with affecting blood flow, ability to walk, and getting dizzy really easy.

After some quick reading, it really does seem like this explains a lot of the things that were both rumored and publicly visible. Seems like a really difficult thing to go through. Kinda sucks that the narrative in some circles became about a GM so checked out that he was sleeping through meetings, rather than a story about a guy who was pushing through a debilitating disease and the things people were seeing were symptoms of that.

Yup and people use that against his legacy too, which is sickening for what he's accomplished.

The part that irked me the most was armchair doctors trying to diagnose him with dementia or something.

I wonder why Murphy and Thompson did not say right from the beginning that Thompson had stepped down willingly? They made it look like he got fired. I wouldn't necessarily expect Thompson to disclose his diagnosis at that point, but it would have looked better for him and the whole organization if his demotion had been presented to the public as a retirement. So I have to wonder if he really did step down willingly. 

Either way of course, it's sad that he has a serious health problem. He's always been an honorable guy, and he did great things for the Packers.
