I looked for young in their prime types that could grow with our team. Besides Quinn, who i look at as a pass rush specialist that could come in and help while Salt & Pepper shakes out. I know a lot of these guys wont hit the free market, but guys like Byron Jones, Quinn, Collins and Littleton may be the odd men out as their current teams have a lot of big contracts on their roster.. I say if we can get two of the above, we would be looking pretty damn good heading into the draft. G Posted November 22, 2019 Share Posted November 22, 2019 Chris Jones I expect KC to exclusive franchise tag and wait til teams have no cap then pull the tag. 8-0 They won't want us to have a need at DT and fill it with Jones...Hankins and Jones would be serious BEEF and Hall/Hurst as back ups...I'd throw some more at Hankins and then open trade offers for Hall/Hurst. Some interesting names there but I think we're a year late on Quinn, could have gotten him for great value last year but this year after a stellar season he'll be looking to get paid handsomely and he'll be a year older. Thompson is a good fit at LB and of course Chris Jones is probably the premier guy there but likely resigned, though I'd love to get him and weaken the Chiefs at the same time. Armstead is a guy who's playing really well and might be versatile with our scheme so I'd think he was most likley. Gruden and Guenther don't seem to value LB that highly so doubt we throw big money or high picks at that spot unfortunately! With Ferrell and Crosby playing a lot of snaps and showing improvement and flashes I'd guess we'd be looking at a complimentary vet DE rather than a star name or big money guy as they'll probably want Ferrell and Crosby to continue to develop as starters with a vet (like Mayowa) coming in to compliment them. I can see us maybe looking to snag a guy at DT to provide some more penetration up front and a CB to compliment Mullen and possibly Worley. We absolutely need help at WR and I think we'll look to the draft and to FA to add a few guys, with the draft being the place to find a #1 WR and FA to try and get a role player. Simmons looks to be a top 5 pick, and I would sign Bryon Jones CB from Dallas instead. Littleton and Jones come from teams who have cap issues, and I would invest in Leonard Williams. It wouldn't be a bad thing to add some more playmakers to our secondary. And Raven fans have said he hasn't blow many coverages which is his weak point.
