This isn't me questioning how good he is, but rather if the net gain that he gives the offense is actually worth the big time contract extension. As a player, he is, no doubt...as a member of this offense, I have to wonder. What probably winds up happening is his contract just replaces Watkins. Right now we're paying Watkins and Kelce, with Hill/Hardman/Robinson on rookie deals. In a year or two it'll probably be us paying Watkins and Hill, with Hardman/??? on rookie deals. I think you have to be willing to pay one of them (someone will ultimately throw at least mid-tier money at Robinson like the Dolphins did at Albert Wilson) to keep enough together without relying on constantly drafting and training replacements. It wasn't holding, but it absolutely makes sense why they would call that and think it was. The defender turned his shoulder when the receiver grabbed him across. From a distance, when the play is going full speed, it's understandable why they would mistake that for holding. Ish happens

He wasn't open when Mahomes threw the pass. He threw it to open space where only his dude could make a play on it. Bearerofnews
Holding calls are gonna ruin the NFL. Every exciting big play is hard to celebrate, because you have to wait to make sure there is no iffy holding calls. What a joke.

Because when you have pressure in your face and are unable to step into the throw that doesn’t matter. possible it looked “bad” because it’s literally a throw only he can make. It's unbelievable how the NFL can be a multi-billion dollar business and still have this much of a problem.
