Holding calls are gonna ruin the NFL. Every exciting big play is hard to celebrate, because you have to wait to make sure there is no iffy holding calls. What a joke.

As opposed to them letting holding run rampant throughout the NFL, which was starting to be the case?

"Ruining the NFL" is an exaggeration.  The NFL ALWAYS does this in the beginning of the season with points of emphasis.  People said the same thing when illegal contact  and RTP last year (driving into the QB) became a point of emphasis.  By midseason it will be fine.

It wasn't holding, but it absolutely makes sense why they would call that and think it was.  The defender turned his shoulder when the receiver grabbed him across.  From a distance, when the play is going full speed, it's understandable why they would mistake that for holding.

Ish happens

I might buy this if the field judge was not standing right there.

The refs in general suck. They decide outcomes of way too many games. It's unbelievable how the NFL can be a multi-billion dollar business and still have this much of a problem.

I mean don't get me wrong this didn't decide anything, but it took away a 52 yard run AND all of our momentum on this drive and we end up punting 3 plays later because we can't come back from a 1st and 17 from a HORRIBLE call. It's total crap.
