Doesn’t he have turf toe? That’s typically a 3-4 week injury to my understanding

There are varying grades of turf toe, but there hasn't been any indication that it was a high grade injury. I've been hoping all along that GB was trying to get to this week against KC before bringing him back. We will see.

Absolutely no reason why Adams should be out that long unless the guy heals like a 70-year old man. Rapoport initially reported after it happened that "he might miss a game." Either he was wrong in a big way or Adams should be ready to come back. He's been out basically a full month.

Had ligament damage.  Packers will be smart.  We don't need him against KC or San Diego.  No reason to rush him and have a set back.   Hate when you guys cite "initial reports"  totally meaningless.  They said Savage "just tweeked his ankle"  not expected to miss much time.  Wrong.  First he has to get the toe 100% and then he has to practice before he can play.  SF is the target make no mistake.

Why because we beat a few teams without him? This line of thinking always makes me laugh. You're going to think you don't need him until you lose, then you're only going to be able to wish you had him.

Jason Wilde and Mark Tauscher had a quote form Adams yesterday which lead me to believe that it is not looking good for this week, but next week may be likely.  We will see.

Fortunately the Packers brought the best foot and ankle specialist in to practice in Green Bay, so I don't doubt that he and Savage are getting what they need.

Who you talking about here with the ligament damage?

I suppose it would be better to rush him back before he's ready only to have him re-injure his toe and have it dog him the rest of the season.  If we lose we lose and it won't be because a less than 100% DaVante isn't on the field.  This game is on the Defense they need to step up.  If anything losing Savage is much more concerning.

DaVante in his toe.  It was a pretty severe turf toe injury.  Thing has to fully heal up and that takes time.

Okay. Yeah, thats what turf toe is to some degree but I wanted to be certain you werent referring to Savage.

Unpopular opinion so go ahead and lay it on me, but I don't find these gameday posts funny nor useful. If I was glancing and trying to get basic game details (e.g. date, time, location, injury list), which is how the first post in these threads used to be in years past, they are nowhere to be found. Additionally, if I was a lurker or someone who stumbled across this site and was wondering if I should get involved with posting, a bunch of inside jokes that aren't very funny that come off as weird is not how I'd want our forum and team portrayed. It used to be useful info with a few random inside jokes thrown in for the people who browse and post regularly, but that is so far from what this is now.

Like I said, unpopular opinion because everyone seems to like it. Just wanted to give my two cents.

Not everybody does!

The offense should be able to score without him. I'm not risking his long term health for a game @ KC.

So you'd advocate potentially rushing him back for a game or two you might need him in to risk reinjury for someone you're going to need down the stretch? That line of thinking isn't smart.
