I think too much emphasis is put on developing players. Look at how things have changed re starting drafted QBs recently. Baptism by fire is the way I would go with high upside guys. Rule of thumb used to be that you sit a drafted QB for a year. We even tried that with Mayfield. But while you want to start the veteran over Delphin, Backwards and I are saying start Delphin.
