Forge
Serious question to those who may understand the inner workings of the NFL ownership better than I... What avenues does the NFL have to force him to sell? Is there an agreement in place? Why would Snyder agree to sell? Does he strike any of us who would not fight back with every fiber of his being just out of pure stubbornness?

They got rid of Jerry Richardson pretty quickly/easily They must have some kind of conduct unbecoming clause that can be executed through an ownership vote. The existing owner (Snyder) would probably save face and sell (and maintain control of the sale) rather than have the vote actually come in where there might be some kind of suspension, open bid process
Gmen
My question is how many first round picks is the NFL going to dock them after the investigation? Two? Three? Four? Do your thing, Goddell. Let Mara guide the way

Quote A little-known clause in the NFL’s bylaws gives league commissioner Roger Goodell the power to order the sale of a team if an owner “is guilty of conduct detrimental to the welfare of the league or professional football.” Usually that means personal misconduct.

Does he strike any of us who would not fight back with every fiber of his being just out of pure stubbornness? https://www.onlabor.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/co_.pdf Section 8.6 gives the commish authority to do pretty much anything he wants at the expense of the NFL to protect the NFL conduct detrimental to the league, even if the person involved is only tangentially employed or related to the NFL. Goodell could use this clause (or at least threaten it). Section 8.13 gets into far more detail, specifically calling out owners by name as people subject to commish discipline, and Section B says when the commish finds the punishment insufficient, he could go to the executive committee to get Snyder to sell or forfeit the team. tl;dr yes, but it'd be a legal battle Edited July 16, 2020 by ramssuperbowl99

Gmen
I think it would just be awesome if the Redskins had to forfeit the #1 overall pick and Trevor Lawrence.

If the NFL decides that he shouldn't be an owner, they can threaten to kick his club out of the league. Then he would have to sell. Jerry Richardson had to do the same a few years back.
