I actually like that the Celtics did not pay/overpay for Horford.

Too late. Celts paid him $28.9 million this year and with the season on the line during an elimination game in Milwaukee, he delivered 9 pts. If he was trying to squeeze Ainge with more financial shenanigans, he learned to not bite the finger that feeds.

He also had 7 rebounds and 6 assists... He was more valuable in that game than Kyrie by a long shot. One game does not determine value.

7 rebounds and 6 assists is not worth the NBA's 13th-highest paycheck. He had a good run but it's time to move on and let someone else overpay him.

reports had been that he was taking a team friendly deal. The report suggesting he stepped away from the table probably means he wants the payday the C's are unwilling to give him now.

He's going to get a rude awakening on the open market I think.

I hope he goes back to Atlanta on a 2+1 deal.

Congrats to the Celtics for not being the Vikings in the Hershel Walker trade.

Hearing talking head morons attack Ainge for not giving up his whole team to rent Davis for a year is hilarious.

I guess being in perpetual rebuilding mode is the answer...
