Thats actually really stupid. We beat both Tennessee and Indy head to head. That should absolutely matter, as it should with Baltimore beating us twice. The whole division record and multiple team tiebreaker coming before head to head is dumb...See: The NFC East, as well as us sweeping the AFC South.

Well it can get tricky, you may not have faced someone in head to head or the teams all split and went 1-1 against each other etc...

If we remove the Ravens from the tiebreaker we are ahead of the Titans and Colts (not the fins). With the Ravens in there we are eliminated because they remove one of the two teams in the same division by applying the divisional tiebreaker to eliminate one (or more) of them. Once that happens we aren't even considered (assuming there are multiple teams vying for the last slot).

That is kind of dumb because you could be (this year) 4-1 against all of the other teams vying for the spot but you get eliminated because you split with someone in the division and they have the divisional tiebreaker for divisional record or conference record or whatever it may come down to.

If we would have beaten the Ravens two weeks ago we could have lost these last two weeks and still got in.

You guys still control your own destiny. However, the only way you make it with a loss, is if the Colts lose too, and they are playing the Jaguars in Indy.

Steelers have seem to come back to life as well, and playing for the #2 seed next week.

But the Jags don't HAVE to lose anymore do they?
