He was aware that the defender was up against his best lineman on his blindside. There should be an expectation that the LT would atleast delay the rusher even a little, instead of just letting him by basically untouched. The fact that you are ok if it only led to a sack but draw the line at fumble is pretty unrealistic as it completely disregards a good play by the defender as a way to reinforce a specific bias.
