That's how Hayward ends up walking. Sorry my friend, you are blinded by the light. This guy has no value to the Packers after this game unless he's dirt cheap. His valuation went down big time by anybody else but you watching the game. By the way, he's no Hayward, not even close. Pay him 10 mill a year ... that's frickin nuts!! Getting rid of players when they make a bad play because it hurts your feelings is childish. Jaire and Amos also gave up TDs, are we getting rid of them? Now that being said a prudent GM would look past just one game. They had to protect King all season. He's just not a good CB. Don't know if he playing through an injury or what but looks like he lost a step to me. Not just talking about this game either. He's an average at best starter IMO. Someone will sign him but it won't be for 10 mil/season. Too bad like the kid super nice family. Hope he gets paid by someone just not us. Guess we'll see soon. But he's been healthy for maybe 25 of those and listed on the injury report for probably 80% of weeks? He was on the injury report all but 2 weeks this year with 5 different ailments - groin, achilles, back, quad, and one other. Some of those are fluff, and some of them are real, and you're also arbitrarily cutting the games off at 36. He's missed a lot of time. Since becoming a starter, he's only been healthy enough to start 31/48 games the last 3 years, and he's only played in 41/64 regular season games along with 4/4 playoff games. There's a very legitimate knock on King in that he can't stay healthy. It should depress his value. If it doesn't, you can't pay full price for a guy who plays 2-3 game fewer than the average guy at his position.

What the hell do you think his teammates think? It wasn't 1 bad play, it was minimum 2 and they weren't all that tough to defend. Glad you aren't the gm and give him big dollars ... for what? King was close enough that anything below the facemask would have been likely broken up. NOT, he was flailing cuz of bad footwork and who throws anything to somebody 6'5"? Quit making excuses for his crap play.

We've played 36 games the last two seasons. As far as being listed on the injury report, sure, but he's playing and playing well.

Both did make big plays. But that isn't the point.

BluePacker
King is below average/borderline poor CB. He isn't the worst, but he isn't close to good either. The problem is made worse by Alexander. He literally shuts down a chunk of the field, which forces QBs to target King (and others). If King was CB3 we wouldn't all be as upset, but Green Bay has him as CB2. Offer him CB3/CB4 money. If he refuses show him the door. Then look towards the draft/FA and move on with life.

No they just had him playing 10 yards off the ball so he wouldn't get burnt. Repeatedly gave up the easy completions. Sorry man I like King too but he didn't play well at all this season. Injuries are a knock as well. If you are a big King fan should be happy the odds of us bringing him back just went up. He's not going to command big dollars in FA. He wasn't playing off the ball because they didn't think he couldn't play vertically. The field side CB regardless of if it was Jaire or King was playing off. Come on.
