Sapo28 Posted March 17, 2021 Share Posted March 17, 2021 I think Mac GM'd knowing we weren't an attractive destination and the only way to turn things around quickly were to get big name free agents and the only way to get them was to offer the most guaranteed money. Makes for a toxic culture among young players to play hard until you get paid ala Mo Wilkerson. Despite how frustrating it is to watch other teams spend on free agents JD isn't falling into the same traps that Mac did.
