I feel justified in my synopsis of his general ability to make a mature decision now moreso than ever. Juju as the #2 WR / #3 option in KC probably flirts with 1200/10 and gets him back into that "top WR on the market" type of offer next offseason

Calamity_Cometh
Huh. Thought he would command more on the market. I like this for Pittsburgh. Well done.
pwny
Well that's a bit of an indictment on how others view Lamar's passing skills.

Forge
For Pitt, I think that this is a solid deal. This is about where I value JuJu, to be honest.
ClutchDJ
I get turning down Baltimore for multiple reasons, but turning down KC is wild, but he must really love the Pittsburgh community so I can’t hate.
iknowcool
Props to him for wanting to stay with the team that drafted him, but man I really think he could have put up some scary numbers in the Chiefs and boosted his stock up incredibly. Good lord though could you imagine how good the Chiefs offense would be with JuJu though? Â Even if you don't think he's a #1 (and I'd agree), he'd be lethal as the #2 WR in that offense and Reid would probably do a great job moving him around. Â So maybe JuJu did the AFC a favor. They offered "more" if he hit incentives, but would be the third receiving option. If he's trying to maximize his value for next season, going to be a third option behind a top 5WR and TE1 isn't the play. Meanwhile, he'd be the #1 in Baltimore and gets more regardless of what he does or doesn't do.

It's an indictment on our scheme more than anything. Why would a WR sign a 1-year deal to play here KNOWING we throw the ball the least of any team in the NFL and you're going to be a FA again next year? These guys all want to make the most of this year so they can cash in next year when the cap goes way up.

Not sure going back to PIT with Big Ben and what he showed last year exactly points to it being about the best chance for top production either to be fair... They're still a very high volume passing team, which gives him the most opportunities to make plays. That simply doesn't exist in this Greg Roman scheme. he might catch more TD's here, but that's it.
