Chargers are damn bad on run D. Would be such a shame if Jacobs can't dress, but if he is out I suppose Barber will be getting lots of touches again.

Worth noting that their run defense is largely a product of how Staley coaches defense. That Fangio tree of coaching style play to eliminate the big play. They play 2 high safties with no run support role  as to not allow QBs to take deep shots they want and try to force them into make mistakes.

This could actually play to Carr's advantage if he has the right mindset. If he works to protect the ball and take what they give him and the running game can move the ball, it's the kind of game Carr can pick them apart with short passes and dump offs. He has the YAC capable skill positions to win these matchups.

If Carr comes in reading his headlines and starts trying to press things deep, it will backfire. That's what happened with Mahomes. KC wants to stretch the field and it played right into what the Charges wanted, forcing him into mistakes that cost them the game.

They will give up the run vs. getting beat by Raiders deep crossers. This is a game where Carr just has to be efficient. Ruggs can have a quiet game opening things for his teammates. And if they get greedy Carr can roast them on one.

Carr needs to work the medium passing game in this one considering Staley always plays to never give up the deep ball/big play. Lots of Ruggs/Waller/Edwards.

Fun fact, did you know Ruggs and Edwards are the TOP TWO WR’s in the entire NFL against Man Coverage this year? They have basically ravaged anyone one on one. Edwards is definitely a slower starter but comes to life in the 4th QTR.

The intensity of this game is going to be legit insane. Not just for Raider/Charger fans, but this is a great game for everyone.

No. He's not a dynamic back. Gets dinged up a good deal and his running style is going to wear him out quick. Kind of the same situation Gruden had with Cadillac Williams. Maybe they get him on team friendly deal as he's certainly not showing out like a top 5-10 back currently.

If Cadillac Williams didn't get hurt he would of rewrote the record book. He was McCaffrey like except 20 years earlier.

3 games we seen a slow start to the offense: From the QB to RBs to WRs to the OL. Need a fast start. They haven’t scored any points on the opening drive. That is usually Grudens speciality is scripting those plays. As the games have gone the offense as a whole starts to pick it up Carr settles down and the OL plays a little better.

Cant afford to start slow but be patient and take the easy yards the Chargers will give you. Not just in the run game but the under routes. Should be a huge YAC game for Waller and the WRs

That's funny. This exactly how I bet the game to. I'm sold on edwards and hunter over on their catches. Peyton barber over rush yards and attempts if jacobs don't play. I think they put James on Waller. Everybody is sold on the over but I teased it to the under. Chargers play it to make teams have to drive all the way down field without making a mistake. Did it vs skins and cowboys. If our defense holds I think the under is in play.
