That's not what we were talking about - that's called a Strawman argument, and it's not really addressing what was said. Andy Reid has never had a losing season coaching KC. Say whatever you want to make yourself feel better, but this is an irrefutable fact.

We've had a top 10 scoring defense in 6 of Reid's 8 years as head coach. Jeez, let @Kirill dance. No need to kick his face off of his body...
AntonChigurh
Why? I recent superbowl win should give a could minimum 3 years to get their act together unless things completely fall apart and they are drafting top 10 consecutively. The Chiefs are likely going to make the playoffs this season, lol.

In fact a regular Andy Reid team gets destroyed in an embarrassing fashion. hes really skated by the past couple years with a QB who can fix any bad playcall or bad situation with the flick of his wrist. Now thats not happening anymore and the team looks predictably terrible.

He's talking about the mistakes, plays not being made that are there, etc. People just quoted the bold below on twitter and everyone assumed it was about scheme. He's talking about execution on our side being worse than he's ever seen. Oh that makes it so much better! Ok good glad its not defenses, but the teams execution he was talking about. Thank god! Was gonna be worried for a second. no wait that might actually be worse, hes still lost on his team’s execution halfway through the season? Awesome! He has insane talent, he has a ridiculous feel for the game, and has proven to be insanely clutch so far in his career. His competitive spirit and drive are fantastic. He seems to be a great leader for the team. And the vast majority of the time he makes good decisions. There are so many fantastic things about who he is and what he does as QB. But he is still a young player with bad habits and flaws. Even when he has played like easily the best QB in football, he has still had those flaws. We're now just on the wrong side of some of the luck, and are playing worse around it, so the bad habits are getting magnified. Mahomes is a guy who absolutely needs coaching and development, still. Mahomes, at 26, is not prime Brady or Peyton, capable of responsibly and coolly calling and running the offense straight solo. Mind you, Brady and Peyton at 26 weren't those guys yet either. Mahomes's athleticism still compensates for his youth. He still needs coaching and development if we want him to be that kind of guy in 5 to 10 years. Taking the approach that Mahomes is so great he doesn't need a guy like Reid on O will handicap how great he can be long term. Yup. If you guys do want Kirill wants in replacing Reid with a defensive HC, and have Mahomes as OC, I just see the same issues on offense. Mahomes needs to stop always looking for the home run so much. If he had even a little bit more patience in taking what was given to him, like ironically Alex Smith, this offense would be even deadlier. He just needs to tame his gunslinger habits and continue working on his mental game. Andy Reid is the best HC for him right now. Reid just needs to get a more competent DC. Tell you what Chiefs go 8-8 this year and 4-12 next. By all means scream from the rooftops. Is it Andy Reids fault that Patrick Mahomes is playing QB "right now" like 2019 Jameis Winston? Your anger is directed at the wrong person. Take off your Fanboy Pajamas and look towards the 1/2 Billion Dollar Man. I know that’s surprising to someone like you who has to give credit to one person only. But believe it or not, one person can help elevate the other and vice versa. He's not saying he's lost what the defense is doing, nor lost on the scheme he's running. He's perplexed at how many plays we are leaving on the field, and that he's never see it before. I don't see the issue with this.. it's basically just another way of saying there are plenty of plays to be made, and we aren't making them.
